RPU Our University

Our Vision

The vision of Resurrection Power University is to create a global awareness of the second coming of Jesus Christ through Christ-Centered higher education that prepares the whole person in body, soul, and spirit for excellence in service to God, the church, and the society.  Our vision stretches our strategy beyond the traditional seminary approach and goes into tailoring our programs to embed the Bible’s theological origin of all wisdom and knowledge as Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:3), by whom all things consist (Colossians 1: 16-17) and were created (John 1: 1-3).  This University regards every field of study as an offshoot from the treasures of wisdom and knowledge that are hidden in Christ Jesus and should be studied from theological perspectives as all disciplines point back to him.

Our Mission

The RPU’s mission is to make theologically embedded higher education available, affordable, accessible, profitable, and a gateway toward getting ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ, no matter the study area.  Therefore, all our programs have an appropriate number of foundational Theology courses a student must complete before graduating in any discipline, without subtracting from the required core of the specific professional and academic area. RPU is a four-year degree University that offers both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Our Undergraduate Degrees

Our Bachelor’s degree (BA, BTS, B.Th., B.Min., or B.Div.)   is a four-year, 120-credit hour program. To be admitted into the Bachelor’s degree program requires the applicant to possess a high school certificate or its equivalent.  An applicant with prior college 60 credit hours or an Associate’s degree from an accredited institution may be admitted into the third year of the four-year program, while those who have successfully completed three years of college or 90 out of the 120 credit hours in an accredited institution may be admitted to complete the remaining year at RPU. We also offer a one-year undergraduate Certificate in Ministry, which also requires a high school certificate to apply.

Our Graduate Degrees

The RPU graduate programs are the Master’s (M.Div., MA, MTS, M.Min, MTh.) and Doctorate degrees (Ph.D., ThD,  D.Min.),  as well as the Graduate  Certificate programs: Graduate Certificate (GC)  and Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip).   RPU offers an 18-month Doctoral degree completion option available for advanced doctoral students who have already obtained the candidacy status or completed all-but-Dissertation (ABD) in a prior Doctoral degree program from a university/institution accredited by an agency recognized by the United  States Department of Education (USDE)  and/or the US  Commission on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).  Such candidates must not have been dismissed due to crime or academic ineligibility from their previous program or University.  Each case will be evaluated on its personal merit.

Minimum Entry and Graduation Requirements

A minimum of a high school certificate or its equivalent is required for any applicant to be admitted to the University. The University requires at the minimum, one full academic year of study at RPU for any student to graduate.
